Studio update

Today I thought I would share a couple of pictures of my bathroom/studio.

Over the weekend I turned the bathroom once again into a studio and screen-printed some more babushka prints. This time around it was a huge success and I managed to get 3 out 4 great perfect prints.

Look forward to some more babushka wares.

diy - post Easter

So I know Easter was some time ago, but over the weekend I finally got around to photographing what I got up to.

A while back, my lovely neighborhood had a hard rubbish collection day, and one night walking home from the train station, with my keen eye, I spotted a discarded chair. A chair that had lost its shine, upholstered in a white vinyl that had gone grey, and with no padding. Instantly seeing its potential, I rushed home to get my car and collect it.

While it sat in my house for some time, patiently waiting to get some love, I finally got around the re-upholstering it over the Easter long weekend. The fabric is my own design, called Illusion and you can purchase it online from Spoonflower in nine different types of fabric.

I'm absolutely wrapped with the result and it exceeded all expectations. Now I'm just need another hard rubbish collection day!

In progress

I'm super excited to show you the latest project I've been working on. It's hot off the sewing machine, and I'm thinking of adding a screen-printing touch. It's made from a beautiful linen cotton fabric with a weave.

This one required quite a lot of effort from me, I'm learning along the way, and I hope to put some into production, some time down the line.

Here's a sneak peek.

Weekend wrap-up

So before I began to design my own fabric, I fell in love with this peacock feather design by paulamarie. You can buy the fabric on spoonflower, and I made some very cute cushions out of it!
